Reinvention doesn’t always mean starting over. Sometimes, it means growing into who you were always becoming.
For many years, I performed under the name so_dholi—a name that proudly represented my early journey, my roots, and my love for dhol-driven energy. It was bold, expressive, and deeply tied to cultural celebration. Through it, I experienced incredible moments, unforgettable events, amazing friendships and the privilege of being part of people’s most meaningful days.
But as time passed, so did my artistry.
My relationship with music evolved. My understanding of events deepened. My approach became more intentional, more refined, and more expansive than any single instrument or moment of hype could represent. I wasn’t just playing dhol anymore—I was shaping experiences through rhythm, pacing, emotion, and flow.
That’s where Vin Rocc was born!
Vin Rocc represents a new chapter—one rooted in the love and joy of music, guided by experience, and shaped by a desire to elevate every performance. It reflects a broader identity that includes tabla, dhol, live percussion and modern rhythmic fusion, delivered with professionalism, and purpose.
This rebirth isn’t about leaving the past behind. It’s about honoring it—while stepping forward with clarity.
Under Vin Rocc, my focus is on intentional rhythm: knowing when to energize a room, when to create space, and how to enhance moments without overpowering them. It’s about collaboration with each of my clients, planners and DJs, respecting the timeline, and understanding that the best performances are felt as much as they’re heard.
More than anything, Vin Rocc is about connection—between tradition and modern celebration, between artist and audience, and between music and emotion.
